- What are your hours?

Mitchell Photography is open by appointment and our regular working studio hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10am to 3pm. We do book later hours on any of those days except Wednesday. Again, we are open by appointment, so I always ask clients to confirm before any pick up. I also try to remind clients of their upcoming sessions in advance. We are always available by phone at 256-498-2321, so it's very easy to schedule an appointment for a session, a preview, a consultation or pick up of your order.
- Where are you located?

Mitchell Photography is located at 959 Irby Circle, Union Grove, Alabama. We are a boutique studio located on Brindlee Mountain and central to the Arab, Huntsville, Guntersville, Union Grove areas. I have clients drive from Meridianville, Decatur, Harvest, Madison, Blountsville and other surrounding cities. Our studio is in a residential area surrounded by outdoor settings so we have a variety of indoor or outdoor backgrounds for your portrait session.
- Do you accept reservations?

We do require appointments for all portrait sessions. You only need to call me for a free consultation or to schedule and book a session. All High School Seniors are required to come with a parent for a free consultation before booking a session, this allows the parent to set the budget and also allows me and the senior to collaborate in advance...so you will have your perfect senior session...resulting in spectacular portraits for your senior year!
Newborn sessions can be booked in advance with the date being altered after birth or if the baby has been born before you call we can do a phone consultation then get you in.
All Santa sessions require a Reservation fee when booking, you can call if you don't see the information on my site. I start booking 6-8 weeks prior to the actual date for Santa.
Online booking is available for certain event days like Christmas Mini sessions, this always happens the two days following Thanksgiving. Session fees paid online or by invoice may be refunded if you cancel by contacting me, via email 24 hr. prior to your session. Missed appointments will not be refunded.
- What payment options do you accept?

We accept cash, check, debit or credit card. All major credit cards are accepted. We can even send an invoice by email for you to pay instead of giving us your info. over the phone.
Online booking events, such as Christmas mini sessions without Santa, are set up for you to pay your session fee online for the day and time you select. You can contact the studio for details about package prices before you book a session. I will send the price list to everyone who books and you will order from the studio or online after your session.
- How long is the typical wait?

Mitchell Photography is a boutique studio and you will not wait in line, Santa days and Easter or one of our event days may be busy, but everyone has their own appointment time. Even then I schedule everyone so we should have time and be ready for you at your appointed time, so NO waiting in line.
If you are asking how long does it take to get an appointment, I don't work like the dentist, so I don't usually have a long wait list. I can normally work with clients to get the day or close to a day you would like to come in. Our busy season starts in Oct. and goes through Dec. so those months you may want to plan ahead, especially a Senior session or maternity/newborn...you may want to call in August or Sept. for your consultation to book a Fall session. Also keep in mind we are closed on Sundays.
- Do you have a cancellation policy?

I hope that clients would let me know as soon as possible if you can't make it for a session. However, I realize that sometimes your child may wake up with a fever or sick, if this happens please call. We don't want to make others sick and I will gladly reschedule your session. If your child is sick on a Santa day I will try to work with you, but Santa may not be able to, I will try my best to work it out for you. But, please call instead of bringing your child if they are sick.
If you cancel the day of an event, there is no refund for your session fee, especially event days. In case of sickness, I will give you studio credit to be used for another day.
